By creating a W-Birds account, using our product and services, engaging with us via email or phone and visiting our platforms, our privacy policy applies to you.

Collection of your data and personal information
To sign up to as either a JobSeeker or a Business you will need to provide w-birds with basic information.
W-Birds captures information when you register for the app. This includes your full name, date of birth, email address and location. In situations where you are unable to provide this information to us we may be unable to provide our services to you. Our collection of personal data falls in the following categories:

Background:

When creating an Account as a JobSeeker, you have the option to provide us with the following details: personal summary, employment history, educational history, language proficiencies, additional skills, professional certifications, salary details, preferred job categories, and desired locations.
Usage and device data:

We gather information about your Platform access and visits, how you use it, like which pages you visit and your search history, to personalize content. This includes data such as IP address, browser type, and operating system. We collect this through Cookies placed on your browser or devices. Refer to our section on Usage and Data
Location:

Home address, contact address and/or device location when using the on your device. Your device location is only stored on your device and only if you have given your permission for the application to identify your location.
To enable us to improve our existing services, to create new service features, and to serve you and others with targeted marketing communications, w-birds collects information about the way you use the app, including the transactions you enter into on the app, your feedback rating (including any references requested using our 'Reference' feature), the offers you make and the transactions you enter into with our valued affiliate service providers.

If you are not registered with our App
We may collect your data if you choose to engage with us through one of our platforms or contact methods such as email, phone or online.
If you are under the age of 18
​The minimum requirement to use the W-Birds app is 18 years of age. We do not knowingly of store and collect data of minors. Data of this category will be deleted. we do not take responsibility for individuals who are deceitful in their sign up of the application. The discovery of a minor registered to W-Birds will be deleted promptly.
Sensitive information
If you are a user of the W-Birds app and/or engage with our platforms in Australia, then the following will apply to you:

A) You consent to us collecting and processing your Sensitive Information by voluntarily including such information within documents and other information provided by you to an JobSeeker or Business as part of a job application or hiring process or where you voluntarily include such information within your Profile;

In order for us to provide you with our basic services, it is important that you provide us with the necessary information to suffice those requirements. If you do not want to provide us with that information than you are welcome to cease use of our services and not engaging with our products and services.

We do not take responsibility for, and cannot ensure the security of, your Personal Information stored by the Advertiser outside of our Platforms. From you via the app.
Any questions about roles being offered by a Business, the JobSeeker should reach out to the Business directly.
However, if a job ad is in breach of our community guidelines, we ask that you report it to us immediately.

By choosing apply for roles within our app, you choose to share you W-Birds profile with potential employers. Businesses may share your detail with other parties. The use of your information outside of the app with other third parties is not within our control and there fore we can not accept responsibility for their conduct. Both Business and Jobseekers are required to comply with applicable laws and regulations over the use of Personal information that are outline in the applicable Privacy Laws within Australia.

We might share your Personal Information with third parties, like our Service Providers, contractors, and Partners, but only for these reasons:

As mentioned above, we do not exercise control of what is discussed and shared outside of the application platform between users. W-Birds does not exercise the use of third parties and therefore assume no responsibility for information that is shared outside of the application.
Users also play a critical role in keeping their personal Information secure by exercising confidentiality of their own account information and passwords. If you think there has been a breach of your privacy and use of account information, please contact us immediately.
Is my data used overseas?
At this stage, your data will only be collected and used in Australia. This is subject to change on the basis of W-Birds expanding in different international geographic locations. If you download the app to set up a profile whilst you are in another geographic location, you are accepting the terms of your data to be used in Australia.

Access: You can access/update your own information by logging into the app and a accessing it through your “Profile”. If your require to update your profile settings , you are able to do so in the settings section of the app.
Deleing your account
You can request to delete your account with us by accessing it in the settings section of the app. Alternatively you can contact us if you require assistance.
Before processing a request of the above nature , we will request further information from you to enable us to verify you identity. This may include asking you questions about your personal information and potentially actions that have been done on your account.
If you are unable to verify your identity, we may not be able to proceed with requests relating to accounts in question.
It is your responsibility to ensure that your information is accurate and up to date. We hold the right to delete your account if we feel that the information you have provided is of dishonest and used for improper or illegal purposes.
